Horváth family had started a personal undertaking in 1986 in the field of domestic and international transportation. The legal form of the company was changed to Limited Liability Corporation in 1995.

The yellow colour with the red letters is the trademark of the Company.

Main activities:

  • International and domestic transportation and freight forwarding
  • Logistics, warehouse
  • Official emission examination of vehicles
  • Automatic truck wash

In November 2000 the Company moved to Gyöngyös, to the industrial zone of the city, which is close to the M3 motorway. (Exit Gyöngyös West)

The office building and a 3000 square metre truck parking facility are located in the HQ. New investments in 2002 included a truck wash, a motor vehicle repair service with diagnostic workshop and a 30000-litre capacity fuel station. As the result of the new investments new work places were created and the expenses related to the repair of the vehicles were reduced.

We expanded our business activity with logistics services in 2003. The Logistics Centre is located in the industrial park of Gyöngyös (Highway M3, exit Gyöngyös East)

The Logistics Centre

The Logistics Centre consists of two warehouses.

Warehouse nr 1. has 3200 square metre capacity and an internal height of 12 loading metres. The area is temperature controlled (10-15 Celsius degrees).

Warehouse nr 2. has 2000 square metre capacity, and used for block storage by serial palette stands with strait corridors.

We have a 200 square metre blocking storage and about 300 square metre roofed space and (frame) tent to store the empties. The industrial railway is situated next to the facilities.

The Logistics Centre implemented a new storage-logistic computer system in 2005.
This system is operated with RF devices, that can identify the barcode of the palettes, store spaces and article numbers.

In the middle of 2007 a new logistics centre of 10.000 sq meters was established in the city of Hatvan (20km-s from Gyöngyös, 60km-s from Budapest).

The vehicle fleet is significantly growing since the establishment of the company. The most commonly used types of trucks are Scania, Mercedes and Volvo. The average age of the vehicle fleet is 2,08, which makes HRI very competitive in the transportation market.

The fleet has been growing on the average of 15-20 % between 2002 and 2006, which is considered significant, as the complete fleet is privately owned.

Horváth Rudolf Intertransport Ltd is one of the most decisive participants in the Hungarian market of logistics and transportation.
